Stop the Killings in Gaza - Alcock

Mark Alcock and Cllr's Mohib Uddin and Jilad Miah along with other Liberal Democrat councillors attended a rally against the bombing of Gaza on Saturday at which some 2,000 people attended.

Mark Alcock spoke to the assembled residents about the carnage in Gaza and the deaths of innocent woman and children and the thousands who have been injured along with the 90,000 families who have been displaced from their homes by the Israeli bombing.

Mark Alcock called for an immediate ceasefire and for the Israeli's to withdraw from Gaza and for the killing to STOP now!

Mark called on the government to change its policy on the Middle East and to condemn Israeli's systematic destruction of Gaza, which is totally disproportionate to what Hamas has been doing.

The Labour government has got to get off the fence and condemn the killings and to work for an immediate ceasefire and a permanent solution to the Middle East situation, said Mark Alcock.
